phpMyAdmin Gets an Overhaul

by Teli

I decided to do a little web maintenance today and was greeted by a pleasant surprise. At first, I thought I’d fouled up something along the way, but quickly realized that phpMyAdmin had received a rather charming overhaul.

phpMyAdmin's New GUI

Having poked around a bit, I believe it will be a bit more user-friendly. Rather than bombard the user with a frightening number of options (any of which might mean the crashing and burning of her website), whenever possible, the user is now offered a slimmed-down version with an option to view the advanced options.

Even the search page is made more usable by offering clearer options.

It’s going to take some getting used-to, but I rather like this new design.
